little helper.

I was straightening up the house this evening and had gotten out the swiffer mop.  I got distracted and a few minutes later this is what we found. : )

Ellee had the handle and was pushing it back and forth like she was mopping!

Then Daddy stood her up and she started walking and pushing the mop...

Here she is taking the dirty swiffer pad off all on her own....

I think she did a great job mopping! : )

houston we have a toddler!

The Gray family officially has a toddler in the house!  Ellee is walking all over the place and becoming quite the big girl!!  She is learning so many things it's crazy!

Here are some of her new skills:

She WALKS

She talks, Current words: Dada, Mama, Bye-Bye, Night-Night, Hot, and Duhg - which is dog.

She drinks through a straw.

She climbs down from the couch with no problem (SOOO funny to watch!)

She eats with a spoon.

She fetches: She has this toy truck and when you say "Ellee, go get your truck", she goes and gets it! So cute!!

Ellee now has 4 teeth, count 'em 1-2-3-4!  It only took her 12 months to get them and now they are coming all at once!  She is such a trooper!  You can definitely tell when one is making its way through but, for the most part she is still her happy self.

Ellee made it all the way to her 1st birthday before she was to big for her infant seat.

She is growing so fast and I love seeing all the new milestones. I do however, miss my 7lb 6oz little baby!

Ellee's 1st birthday turned out so cute!!  It was ladybug themed complete with her red/black tutu!  I had so much fun planning and making all the decorations.  And a big thank you to everyone who came and shared Ellee's big day with us!  You all made Ellee's big day so special!!

12 month well exam.

Ellee had her 12 month well exam on her birthday.  I thought it would be fun to get all her stats on the actual day.  Here were her stats on her 1 year birthday:

Weight: 19 lbs 6 oz - (22.78 percentile for her age)
Height: 28.5 inches - (31.56 percentile for her age)
Head Circumference: 46cm (18.11 inches) - (77.18 percentile for her age)

The Dr. said Ellee is right where she needs to be!  Her visit was complete with a round of shots and she did great.  I think it was worse for me then it was for her.  She barely even cried!  Her next well exam will be in November.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ELLEE!!!

This post brings Ellee 365 to a close!  It has been so fun watching her grow day by day!

A few weeks ago we spent some time with some family out on the Hood Canal.  Ellee got to have her first boat ride!  She also spent some time walking in the water.  I'm so glad she appears to love the water as much as we do.  Her favorite thing was to play with the rocks.  She like to see how they tasted. :)

pool time.

We decided to get a pool this year.  Last year was so miserable during the heat and Ellee is old enough to be out in the sun so we thought it would be fun!  We haven't been able to use it as much as we would like because it hasn't been the warmest summer but, it has been nice on those rare hot days!  It isn't very big but, it does the trick and Ellee LOVES the water! : )

Ellee's first 4th!

We spent Ellee's first 4th of July with Grandma Katie and Grandpa Scott.  We went over to their neighbor's house for a BBQ. Despite it being really cold (When is it not on the 4th in WA???!!!)  we had a lot of fun!
