she's a swimmer!

We started "swim" lessons at the YMCA today!  She had so much fun!  She doesn't seem to mind the water at all.  By the end she was exausted and ready for a nap. :)

Ready to swim!

six month portraits.

So, forgive me...I have found more photos that I forgot to post.  I'm pretty sure these are the last of the forgottens.... :)

I took Ellee and her cousin Nadya in to get their 6 month portraits done. I have to say...our girls are the CUTEST ever!!  The photographer had the hardest time getting the girls to stop staring at each other.  It was quite comical!  I think they turned out awesome!!

7 months old!

I should have posted this already also...sorry! :)

february 11th.

This is a hard day for me and my family every year.  And I have to say it does not get any easier!  This year marked the 3rd anniversary of my Dad's passing.  I'm a little late posting this but, last week I was really sick and then Ellee came down with what I had.  It has been a stressful week and a half.
Each year I take flowers to my Dad's memorial site and I snap a picture.  This year Miss Ellee came with us.  Not that she knew what was going on but, I want to make it a tradition that she goes with us so that she knows who her Grandpa was.  Every year it makes me sad that she will never get to meet him.  She will know him though.  We will tell her stories of him.  There will never be any question about who he was!

catching up.

We have been so busy the past few weeks!  Instead of posting for each event I have decided it would be easier to do a catch up post. Here goes! :)

While we were Georgia we got to visit with lots of family.  Here are a few snapshots:

Ellee and her Great Uncle Bryan
Ellee and my cousin Samantha. (Samantha would be Ellee's first cousin once removed)
Cortland and Boone
Here are a few shots of Boone and Ellee...they were the 'kissing 2nd cousins'.
They became friends right away!

We completed our trip with a visit to the World of Coca-Cola.  It was fun taking the self guided tour which included an entertaining multisensory 4-D movie, old artifacts and a tastings of over 60 different Coke products from around the world.   If you are ever in Atlanta I recommend going!  Check out the photos from our visit:

After having such a wonderful visit with my sister, her husband, Aunts, Uncles and cousins it was time to get back to reality. :(  Ellee did very well on the plane ride home.  A few fusses here and there but, overall it was a success.  She spent a lot of time sleeping and looking out the window.  Were were lucky to have an open seat between us so she was able to stretch out.  Here are a few pics from the ride.

Well I think that wraps up the 'catching up'.  Here are a couple other photos...
